Household Recycling Centres reopening . . .

Household Recycling Centres to reopen . . .

Following the Government’s recent announcement Telford & Wrekin Council plan to reopen Hortonwood and Halesfield recycling centres for ESSENTIAL USE ONLY on Tuesday 5 May, with strict rules in place to ensure the safety of the public and staff.

The reopening of the centres will be welcomed by many, but it won’t be business as usual. Government rules on essential journey and 2-metre distancing still apply, which is why it is important to stress that they are open for essential use only.

It is expected they will be very busy, so people will need to be prepared for queues and be patient. There will be crews on the ground to guide them onto the sites.

Further guidance is available on the Telford & Wrekin Council website:

Residents are advised to check the website and social media channels before they travel,
as rules may be subject to change.
